Acte de naissance or Extrait de naissance?
These are not interchangeable labels. The U.S. Department of State identifies the Extrait de Naissance as a National Archives document and distinguishes it from the original Acte de Naissance issued by a local civil office. Its Haiti guidance recommends the nationally issued extract whenever possible and describes limited circumstances for alternative records. Check the instructions for your own application before ordering a translation. Source: Department of State, Haiti civil documents (checked September 5, 2026).
We translate the record you provide; translation does not replace an Archives extract, obtain a missing record or resolve a discrepancy in the original. If an authority asks for another version, arrange that document before paying to translate the wrong one.
What to upload for a complete translation
- The entire certificate or extract, including all edges, not just the personal-details section.
- Any reverse side containing text, stamps or handwritten notes.
- Attached attestations or authentication pages that form part of the document set.
- The receiving authority’s instructions and your deadline, if applicable.
Make names, dates, registry references and seals legible. Our professional translators preserve the source information and identify visible stamps and signatures. We do not guess unreadable text or silently correct names in the original. A clearer image may be needed before we can complete the work.
Price, certification and delivery
A standard translation page contains up to 250 words. The rate is $19/page for 1-4 pages, $17/page for 5-10 pages and $15/page for 11+ pages. One standard page costs $19; a five-page set costs $85 before any further eligible discount. These are USD translation prices, not fees for obtaining a Haitian civil record.
Your order includes professional translation, a signed certification statement and digital delivery. See our fictional sample translation and certification; it is an illustration, not a customer’s record or a document valid for submission.
Many clear one-to-three-page orders can be delivered within 24 hours. Confirm an urgent deadline with us before payment; length, legibility and clarification can affect timing. See pricing and inclusions.
Unsure about extra pages or stamps?
Upload the full set and request a no-obligation quote. You do not need a billing address or payment card to request it. Select the languages and send the request; our team checks the chargeable count and emails the total and a link to complete your order without uploading again.
Questions before ordering
French or Haitian Creole: which should I select?
Select the language actually used in the document, not just its country of issue. For mixed-language records, mention both languages in the notes and request a review before payment.
Does a certified translation guarantee USCIS acceptance?
No translation provider controls the decision on a document or application. We provide a complete professional English translation with a signed certification statement. The receiving authority decides whether the source record and the full submission meet its requirements. See our source-backed USCIS translation requirements guide.
Can you translate an older certificate or an attestation?
Yes, if the text is readable. Whether that version is sufficient for your application is a separate question for the receiving authority or your legal adviser.
For broader document preparation, read our Haitian official-document guide, also available in French. For other countries, see birth certificate translation.
